DESCRIPTION

They say you can’t help who you fall for. Well, now I can attest it’s not just a theory, but a hard fact I experienced first-hand. Nobody, though, said love would be so cruel. That falling in love would be the greatest feeling of all while also putting my heart through the wringer.

I was the girl with a plan. Aways had been. I was the girl never getting in trouble, always following the rules. For some reason, falling in love with the one guy I shouldn’t sent most of my plans flying.

Being with him wakes up something in me. Feelings I never knew existed. I’m done being the good girl, the one everyone expects to act accordingly to what’s best for everyone else.

Now I want to live for myself. To experiment it all. The good, the bad, the exhilaration, and the thrill of being in love. Reach for all my dreams, follow my heart, and give him every piece of me. With no restraint.

What I didn’t know, is that life had other plans for me. For us. And for my heart.

Our love should have been simple. Until it wasn’t. Until we face a challenge that seems impossible to overcome.

As we find our way back to each other, our careful and fragile equilibrium is shaken again.

Can we survive the heartache and throw caution to the wind and learn to navigate this new reality? Together? Or should we just call it quit and never trust love with our hearts again?

Emmanuelle Snow writes realistic and emotional love stories that will bring you on a roller coaster of emotions. You'll want to be best friends with her heroines and have her heroes to rock your bed and take hostage your heart. Hello, book boyfriends

Every one of her books will make you laugh, cry, swoon, and leave you with a book hangover by the time you reach the last page.

I received an Advance Readers Copy of “Princess & Country” by Emmanuelle Snow and wow, wow, wow. Talk about a nice Story line that follows the MC from early childhood throw early adulthood. It’s a sweet story with some hard felt emotions. It is not a standalone, the story continues in “Pink and Country” and I can say I can’t wait to see what happens with Dahlia and Carter. I totally recommend reading the complete series.

Jocelynereadsromance (Goodreads)

This is a really well written backstory on a character that we met in the first book. We learn a lot about her and her first love second hand in Pink and Country and this takes a deeper dive into who she was growing up, her journey of finding love, the two types of strong love she feels for brothers and what situations in life have lead her to where she in when we meet and see the strong woman she is (as a side character) in Pink and Country.

Emmanuelle Snow's writing is casual and. relaxed, she is able to draw you quickly up into this story. Her characters are multi-dimensional, they have problems, they have worries and they learn to work through obstacles that come their way. Snow notes in her Author's Notes that she did not expect to write this story down but that it flew out of her. I can definitely see the care and love that Snow has for her characters and through this story she takes the time and understanding to help build upon who the heroine is at the heart of herself. Snow has a way of crafting a story that might feel a bit like a fantasy but also has deep roots that give the characters and situations a type of gravity that the reader can understand and see their true humanity. I found this insight into our heroine's past to be very intriguing and helps to truly give a better understanding of her feelings in general (which we do not get in Pink and Country because it is not a story told from her point of view). I also found this story to be one that makes me excited to see what comes next in this series.

I would definitely recommend this story if you like more background on characters you grow to love, this is not a romance, it is a story about first love, first heartbreak and growing up. It is a story that helps to build foundation upon who someone is at their core, and what makes them strong, vulnerable, loving, caring and heartbroken but willing to take chances and learn to love again.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I was so lucky to get an Advanced readers copy by the author Emmanuelle Snow & Bookfunnel.

Did i just read this in one sitting? Yes i did. Do i regret it? Nope.
It was heartbreaking for Carter, Dahlia and Jeff. It was also beautiful and sad.
I really enjoyed to get to know Dahlia and Jeff more, but also see how Carter was when he was younger (well in Dahlia`s eyes) and i understand the anger and frustration comming for all of them.

'Princess and Country' really melted my heart. Getting to know more about Jeff in addition to Dahlia's and Carter's past - that was mentioned in 'Pink and Country' - put everything into better perception.

Reading about how Dahlia's and Jeff's relationship grew over the years was beautiful. Of course there are the bad times and the good, but that's what make this novel so interesting! Emmanuel Snow really took all these different stages of a long lasting relationship and turned it into a 5 star novel with a big steel-blue bow on top. I must say this story was quite the emotional journey- sad tears, laughter, swooning, and anger all included. Though I wouldn't have it any other way. In the end I'm happy Dahlia finds love and Carter does too. The Hill brothers were/are quite the duo!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars for this best-friend's-brother country star romance

Princess and Country

This is my second read from Emmanuelle Snow and she is now, officially, on my “auto buy” list of authors. Princess and Country is a beautifully written romance that I couldn’t set down.

A relatively light read that pulled at my heart strings. We follow Dahlia on a journey of discovery. This is a story of love, friendship, and second chances. It was captivating and inspiring.

As with the previous book, I was absolutely enamored. I highly recommend giving this series a shot. The books are beautiful, the writing is memorizing, and the characters are relatable. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
