Synopsis

The intertwined lives of two strangers bound by fate in the midst of a snowstorm. SnowBound is a captivating tale of love, serendipity, and resilience that will leave you immersed in the enduring power of love until the last page.

All Anderson Ford has ever wanted was to pursue music as a career. But after he strikes a deal with his mother, he must complete his college education before reaching for his dreams. Abigail Peña is ready to take Nashville’s music scene by storm. Halfway through her college degree in music management, she is consumed by the idea of leaving her mark in the industry. These two strangers find their paths intersected by fate, united by a shared love for music.

In the midst of a snowstorm, their chance encounter at an airport sparks a connection that transcends time and space. They shared everything that night, except their full names. After they go their separate ways, they realize they have made the biggest mistake of all by not holding on to each other. From that moment, their lives are intertwined in a dance of missed chances and memories of a night neither of them can forget. As Anderson and Abigail are trying to move forward and make sense of their lives, one question remains: Is the universe conspiring to keep them apart? Years later, as they navigate the complexities of life, their paths converge once again, offering them a glimpse of a world where destiny, memories, and what-ifs collide.

Will they be able to overcome the obstacles that stand in their way, or will their secrets unravel the threads of their intertwined fates?

SnowBound is book one in the Two of Us duet. This is the introduction to Abigail and Anderson’s serendipitous love story.

Excerpt (SnowBound)

My eyes hurt from the lack of sleep. I’d been up all night, searching the internet to find the one person on this earth I didn’t know the name of. I rubbed my heavy eyelids with the sleeve of my hoodie, hoping to clear my now cloudy vision. I swore my brain had decided to see everything in dual frames. A thick fog enveloped my mind, making it hard to think straight.

Every social media platform I could think of, I’d checked numerous times.

How many Andrews about my age lived in this country? Way too many. It was a lost cause. A conclusion I came to minutes ago. He could be anywhere around the world right now.

I sighed.

Soon I would have to resign myself to my fate and go through this alone. On. My. Own. I scanned the space around me and took in the pile of boxes my best friend Ellie and I had emptied last week, and my eyes brimmed with hot tears. A wave of sadness washed through me. Exhaustion settled in.

I had promised myself I would find him. And I had failed.

Rivulets of my sadness cascaded down my cheeks, and I let them flow freely, too tired to even patch the broken pieces of my heart and the dam that ruptured.

How did I become such a failure at nineteen? I wasn’t even out of my teen years, yet my life seemed all set to derail. In more ways than I could count. And I was all alone for the ride.

Ellie left before dinner. She took a flight back to campus. She didn’t have to come all the way to Tennessee for me after I broke the news to my parents that I’d withdrawn from college for now. She didn’t have to help me set my new life on its tracks either. Or even fly here once more and unpack my stuff when I moved here.

Ellie didn't have to fill the refrigerator of my new apartment with healthy options. And she didn’t have to stop by the store to pick up colorful decor items to give this place a little character and make it lovelier than it was. I told her I’d pay her back. Eventually. And she pushed the idea with a flick of her wrist. “My treat,” she had said. Something that she often repeated these days whenever it concerned me. Or my screwups.

No, Ellie didn’t have to do any of those things. But she did. From the selflessness of her heart. And I’d forever be grateful she stuck by my side. Because no one else did.

To add misery to my already complicated existence, I was now failing at the promise I made to myself. To get hold of the one person I had to talk to. To confide in about everything. Be honest. And tell the truth. And yet, he was the one who didn’t seem to exist. As if my brain had created him one night. And he’d evaporated in the morning light.

Fresh tears blurred my vision.

Pulling at the fluffy purple blanket Ellie got for me for the not-so-pretty brown couch that came with the apartment and wrapping it around my heaving shoulders, I curled up on the worn wooden floor that must have looked fancy in its earlier years. Now it just looked old. And sad. Like me.

Even though I tried, I had no more fight left in me.

These days, every effort felt harder than it really was. I was constantly exhausted, but I tried to push a little more because I only had myself to count on. And being tired wasn’t an option.

My body let go first. But even in my dreams, my mind was restless.

Images of our time together waltzed behind my closed lids. “I’m sorry,” I murmured through the raw lining of my throat. “For everything.” And that was when my brain lost the fight too.

I would be all right. I had to be. What else could I do?”

I absolutely loved this book. There were so many emotions racing through my mind as I was reading this. I loved Abby and Andy together and can't wait to read the rest of their story.

I'm not sure how to start this review as it is only for the first half of the book. (The book is broken up into two books)

It starts off in present day, following Abby who was finally going to start living her dream after working so hard to obtain it. Then a man from her past pops back up after thinking she'd never see him again.

After that, it jumps to four years ago, giving us Abby and Andy's backstory. How they met, why they parted ways and the hardships life threw their way.

There were a few things I found odd. No matter how many times Andy asked, Abby refused to give him her last name and she refused to learn his. Then she got upset when she couldn't find him online. Also, for someone who's parents always had something to say about her life and she always gave in to their demands, Abby had a lot of confidence. Usually, when you're belittled all you life, the confidence you have is fake just so you can fit in.

I'm not saying it's not a good book. There were situations in there that you don't see coming and a few "oh my God" moments. I may change my opinion on Abby and Andy once I read the second part of their story.

This is book one in The Two of Us Duet and it is Anderson and Abigail’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Anderson played his music in bars and hoped that one day he would make it big but at the moment he was on his way to the airport so that he could spend time with his Ma for Christmas only for his flight to be delayed because of the weather. Abigail worked hard because she wanted to work in the music business in a management position but at the moment she was at the airport on her way to Nashville where her parents live only for her flight to be delayed. When Anderson and Abigail meet at the airport he was in a grumpy mood and Abigail was all sunshine trying to make the best of a difficult situation so she decided to try and cheer Anderson up and that is when they started challenging each other. The attraction and chemistry between them was instant, strong and intense and it couldn’t be deny but they both had different lives to live so they would only have tonight so they made the most of it but the more time that they spent together there connection was so unique and they felt like they had known each other for years but the next morning came all too quickly and they parted ways even though it was more difficult than they thought it would be leaving them both unhappy and upset. When Abigail realised that she was pregnant she tried to find Anderson but was unable to and when she told her parents they disowned her and threw her out because she wouldn’t do what they wanted so she ended up on her own and trying to move forward with the help of her best friend Ellie who was her rock and supported her as much as possible. Anderson tried to find Abby everywhere but it seemed like she had become a ghost. Wow this book takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and I cried so many times with everything that Abigail was going through and I could feel all her pain as if I was there living through it with her and my heart broke with how her parents treated her and I hope they eventually get what they deserve. There are twists and turns along the way that will have you totally glued to this book because it was a page turner and totally addictive and I couldn’t put it down as it kept my attention throughout the whole book and I read it in one sitting. This book is definitely a must read and I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing duet by Emmanuelle Snow who is an amazing author and writer.

WOW! My heart has never been so twisted up as it was while reading this heartbreakingly beautiful love story.

The brilliant way that it begins had me utterly captivated and instantly enthralled. I instantly fell in love with sweet Abby and slightly grumpy Andy. Being stuck in an airport is no fun, but when Abby slowly gets Andy to open up and play some fun games with her, we get to watch a beautiful love that slowly build right before our eyes.

The attraction and connection between Abby and Andy was instant, but what they didn’t realize was that they were unintentionally building something so incredible and definitely unforgettable that would forever change the course their lives.

I loved Abby and Andy’s back-and-forth banter, the witty games they played and all the dares that they challenged each other with. But let me tell you, the intense lust and desire that was slowly building between them, just oozed off the pages and had my body aching all over. I could not wait for that first kiss, the first touch or the first time they gave into it all.

This incredible story was packed with so much emotion that I found myself continually laughing, seething with anger, and crying into my pillow. My heart was filled with so much love for these two amazing characters and I just needed them to find each other again.

The hardships, challenges, and struggles that both Abby and Andy go through, all the while never forgetting each other, had my heart aching. I can’t wait for their reunion to happen as their love is the kind of love that only happens once in a lifetime.

I can’t wait to see how their story unfolds and whether the incredible feelings they have for one another will still be there after all this time.

Another incredible story full of emotions so real you will feel your own heart breaking while slowly being put together. Abby and Andy’s story isn’t an easy love story, it shows us the ups and downs that they both go through individually and how the short amount of time that they had together was so special for both of them. Abby is struggling almost everyday with the things life has thrown her way, but she digs deep and finds her inner strength to pull through each obstacle that comes her way. While Andy struggles with his own path in life no matter what they both go through or do they never forget the time they had together. It’s like fate brings them together and they decide no last names just this one night together and throughout the years fate keeps playing a cruel game of bringing them close to one another but never crossing each other’s paths. The story does end on a cliffhanger that had me in tears because after everything Abby has battled through and came out on top she is hit with something else that is devastating and leaving her questioning how strong she truly is. My heart was broken because Abby and Andy deserve so much happiness but it isn’t something that is going to come easy for them, yet I have hope things will eventually get
