Synopsis
He was the man I wasn’t expecting. And now he’s the one I can’t seem to stay away from. Together, we’re dynamite. How long till we get burned?

He walks into my life minutes after I swore I was done with men. FOREVER.
Yes, I wanted nothing to do with the one species who manipulated and broke my heart multiple times in the past anymore.

Been there. Done that.

Then he walks in with his designer suit, swagger, and cocky grin. And what do I do?

I go to him like a moth goes to a flame.

Yes, Tucker makes me weak. And no matter how I try to convince myself our sizzling attraction will be the end of me, I just can’t resist him.

He’s the one man I should stay away from. But he’s also the one I can’t forget. The one that has my heart racing and my hormones heating up.

All my life, I thought I was the wild one, but little did I know someday I would meet my match.

Fun fact, he’s Chicago’s number one womanizer. And as of recently, my kryptonite.

Never would I have thought he would also turn out to be the only person I needed in my corner when life throws us for a spin neither of us saw coming. And now we need each other more than ever. I need him more than ever.

Can we make it work? And can I trust him with my heart?

BreathLess is full-length standalone novel in the Whiskey Melody series. It includes Wild Encounter and Brittle Scars. It is part of the Carter Hills Band universe.

Excerpt (BreathLess)

With one mission in mind, veering as far as possible from the troublesome maid of honor, I went to the restrooms, needing time to cool down. And give my overzealous teammate a stern talking-to. I usually never backed down from a challenge. Even less, a lady's challenge. I loved women. Always had. A little too much, according to my friends. And I could never stay away if they gave me the come-hither looks. But I didn't do relationships. Never. And I never saw more than one woman at a time. Those were my rules. And to wear a rubber. All the fucking time.

I was freakish about catching some disease or shit. Heard they made your junk red and itchy. No thanks, I'll pass.

In front of the mirror, I adjusted the collar and rolled the sleeves of my Esteban Fu button-up shirt, my everyday go-to clothes and my designer of choice, my jacket already discarded. Yeah, I looked elegant. And fucking hot. I smirked at the image the glass reflected.

Too bad I couldn't use my charm on anybody tonight. I would enjoy a good chase. Get my blood boiling and more. But no, not tonight.

When I exited the men's room, the blonde temptress cornered me, drawing a hand over my chest, her long pink fingernails toying with the buttons of my dress shirt. I held my breath, curious about this encounter. Wearing a steel-blue gown that tied at her nape and ended mid-thigh along with strappy high heels, she looked gorgeous. Even with those extra inches, I towered over her as I watched the goddess in front of me. A star amongst a sea of dark dresses, her blonde hair fell over her shoulders like a radiant aura around her. She sported an intoxicating smile, and her heavy-coated lashes made her irises appear bluer than before. More alluring.

"Tucker, right?"

"Yep," I said. A server walked by and offered me my drink of choice. I accepted and brought the tumbler to my lips, studying her features and the fire in her eyes. "At least it was the last time I checked."

"Oh, a sense of humor. I like that." She laughed and lost her balance on her four-inch heels. I clamped my fingers on her waist to steady her. Something coiled inside me, warming my core where our bodies connected.

"Ooooopsy. So sooorry," she slurred, revealing how drunk she was.

Addison pushed her hair over her shoulder, her smile devilish and enticing.

"Stop looking at me like this, Tuck. I can call you Tuck, right?"

"Guess so," I shrugged, keeping my back straight and doing my best to look unaffected by her antics. I had made a promise to my best friend. And my words counted for something. But Jesus, this woman.

"Anyway, Tuuuck," she said, her voice sultry and sinful, putting emphasis on my name, "just so you know, I'm over men."

Every molecule in me woke up, reacting to the intimacy of her touch. To her tone. And the luring energy emanating from her.

The heat circulating in me reached a searing point.

My grip tightened around the glass in my hand.

"You are?" I asked, my voice a loud growl, my interest in her growing with every passing second.

"Yes," she said with a firm slant of her head. "Men break hearts. No matter how much you love them or how many times you suck their dicks in a week, they always end up breaking your heart." She waved her fingers over me. "This means you too break hearts. I can tell. You have this thing that makes women crave you." She leaned closer and sniffed me. Yes, she fucking sniffed me. I blinked, wondering if Addison was for real or if she was playing a game. "Oh, and you smell too," she added, her voice a whisper against my skin.

With a step back, I lifted my arm blatantly and took a whiff of my armpit, scared I really did smell, then dropped it back down.

"You're crazy, sweetheart. I don't smell."

She scrunched up her nose and sighed, then waggled a finger at my face. "Nooo...not like that. You smell like sex. You probably have a big dick and are very capable with your tongue. Am I right?"

Whatva heart-breakingly beautiful story. The journey Addie and Tucjer go on is one for the ages. Their story is beautiful throughout. The humour and comeradery the author creates between them, and the hard topics they face and overcome together just shows that with a love like theirs, they can conquer anything.
My favourite story from this author to date for sure.

** spoiler alert ** Emmanuelle Snow is at it again! I laughed, cried and laughed some more. This was such a real book and I related to it in many ways. Wilde and Tuck’s relationship had so many adventures from beginning to end antics. I loved how much fun they have and the things they got caught up in. The part that struck me the most was talking about PP depression. No one should feel like they are suffering without someone to reach out to. Emmanuelle brought awareness and spoke words/ told a story that I wish more people could.

While Carter will always be my favorite, I loved Tucker and Addisons' story! Tucker refuses to settle down, and Addison has been in love 1 too many times. When a weekend of fun turns into so much more, you'll be taken for the wilde ride!
A fantastic series that keeps you wanting more!
I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

this was so damn good

This was a wild ride but very well worth it

One thing I truly enjoyed is that the whole marriage and kids isn’t the epilogue, it’s in the story itself so you truly feel the sense of an HEA after witnessing the pain and the deep lows that hit them.

Addison’s story does deal with PPD, postpartum depression, so it gets heavy. But seeing her working through it and accepting that it doesn’t make her a failure but just accept that she needs some extra help was very refreshing and seeing Tucker stick beside her the entire time regardless of how low she gets is a testament to how deep he truly cares for her.

Oh Emmanuelle Snow you kept me waiting for this book for so long. But it was soo worth the wait. Thank you for the ARC.

𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:

~ Love, friendship, and family revolve around all of Snow's books. But, let me start by telling you that this isn't like any typical love story you've read before.

~ The plot follows Addison who's Dahlia's best friend and Tucker who's Nick's best friend two people who were afraid of loving and who did not want to get their most priced possession, their hearts, hurt. And they were also the Maid of Honor and the Best Man at Dah's and Nick's wedding.

~ Nick's only rule for Tuck was 'No fraternizing with the maid of honour' and Dah had warned Addi of Tuck too.

~ But Rules are meant to be broken and we always want wats forbidden. And to Addi, Tuck was off limits and to Tuck, Addi was the forbidden fruit. Oh, the allure of forbidden romance.

~ Addison is just after a breakup and has renounced men but she seems to find it difficult to stick to her 'no men' mantra when she spots the best man Tucker.

~ Tucker is Chicago's player and is not one to have committed relationships. But this is how he guarded his heart against being hurt and was truly a selfless character full of love and kindness.

~ Addi and Tuck were like magnets attracting and challenging each other. I loved this OTP.

~ Little did they know their undeniable pull, a drunken night, and Addi's challenge Tuck just could not decline were going to put them on the paths of an interesting adventure that was going to change their lives drastically. And I am not even exaggerating it.

~ At first I couldn't bond with Addi. I thought she was annoying and insensitive most of the time. But as I got into the book and got to know her more I understood why she came off as such at the beginning and she grew on me.

~ I couldn't personally relate to what Addi was going through towards the latter part of the plot (trying hard not to have any spoilers 😀) as I had no such experience. But Snow managed to convey that pain through her words that I just felt it in my bones.

~ Tuck is so loving and caring and he thinks not only of himself but of all the dreams and hopes Addi has and he makes sure they all come true… Snow I keep falling hard for all the men you write.

~ And every time Tuck called Addi sweetheart it had me melting. OMW watching them falling for each other was amazing and I kept repeating in my head 'oh dear lord you've got it baaaaaad'.

~ Dahlia is not a character I bonded with much as she hurt Carter, but I have to admit her character is amazing and is just full of love and understanding. And she envelopes everyone around her with her kindness and warmth. And Nick and Dah are just sweethearts.

~ I also kept falling more and more for Carter Hills man! He has the biggest and kindest heart.

~ Okay okay, let me get to the good part. The Spice was offt off the charts. Like Woah!

~ Something I love about Snow's books is that she does not write picture-perfect characters. Everyone has their stories and their weaknesses and I love that. That's one reason I bond with the characters even if I cannot relate to most of their situations.

~ I love texts, emails, letters, and notes as part of the stories it just gives that personal touch.

~ This book was a rollercoaster of emotions. I couldn't stop laughing, feeling the pangs of pain in my heart, and swooning all the same.

~ I also loved that this book depicted that no matter what true love will find its way through all its ups and downs, unlike perfect fairytales. How love, friendship, and family are the strongest pillars anyone could rely on.

~ As always Snow never fails to amaze me by addressing sensitive topics such as the struggles of mental health, postpartum depression, and their repercussions in a beautiful yet meaningful way. Not many authors incorporate important topics as such along with love stories. Trigger warnings.

~ Wild and Country is also a great example that shows us that we shouldn't be ashamed to rely on family and friends in times of need rather than pushing them away. And that asking for help is nothing to be ashamed of but a sign of pure bravery to realize that you need that help.

~ This book was fast-paced even though it was one of the lengthiest books Snow has written and kept getting more and more interesting by the minute you got into it.

~ Let me tell you this, I cannot wait for legend and country. I've been waiting so long without a book by Snow until Wild & Country and I am proud to say I have read all of Snow's books so far.
